Survey of French Literature: Study of selected masterpieces of French literature in their historical, cultural, and artistic contexts

The project above was assigned to create a virtual museum containing art/architecture embodying a literary theme we explored during the semester; we focused on the societal perception of women. This project was a test in my ability to effectively draw connections between literary pieces we studied over the semester, while also being grammatically accurate and utilizing upper level French. This course significantly improved my language comprehension skills as well as my ability to analyze difficult French literature.

French for Health Professionals II: Taught in French, this course emphasized the French healthcare system, French medical terminology, and health concerns in Francophone countries.

This assignment provides a summary of HIV/AIDS, a disease is still highly prevalent in francophone countries. Highlighting factors such as pathogenicity, virulence, and populations most susceptible to infection, I was able to gauge a better understanding of the burden of disease HIV/AIDS imposes on millions of people. As a prospective medical professional, understanding how diseases affect various populations and how culture plays a role in medicine is crucial to proving equitable healthcare.
