This assignment hypothetical recommendations for prevention of a disease prominent in a low-income country of choice; I focused on maternal morbidity in Senegal. Utilizing the SDGs, I developed a plan to reduce the incidence of maternal mortality, using the global health intervention strategies we learned throughout the semester. This paper applied practical skills required for successful applications of global health interventions, as well as provided a realistic example of how the coursework studied could be used in a work setting.

Epidemiology: Introduction to epidemiological research methods and principles used in the study of origin, distribution, and incidence of diseases.
This project applied different concepts of epidemiology to create a well rounded synopsis of how a disease is transmitted, who is at risk, as well as the burden of disease. Studying Ovarian cancer, I was able to use the knowledge and skills I had acquired throughout the course and apply them to a real life scenario. This project also required me to be concise with the information presented, sharpening my presentation skills.
